Mount Tom

Mount Tom up in the middle of the woods in Litchfield is a nice little beach that we found for the 1st time with Liz and Anna. They have been going there for years. It was a fun drive by BIG FANCY houses. The houses that you look by and can't even imagine what they would be like on the inside. One day Riley... with 2 parents as teachers... one day! hahaha! :)

Riley loves playing with her buddy Andrew. Look back at this photo next year... see how nice and calm they are laying on the blanket. Next year it will be a whole different story when we go up to the beach at Mount Tom... so relaxing... ha! not for long!

Riley still loves to stand! And she is learning to sit up now... But we have to be careful with her now even when we lay her down. She loves to roll and scoot around. Guaranty that when you lay her down... she will be in a different spot within a minute. She is only 4 months old!!! AHH! 

Breakfast

High Five to TiTi and big Brian! lol Riley loves going to breakfast at the Sycamore with these guys! Today she started giving HIGH FIVES! Sometimes if you are not quick enough she will just grab your hand and try to eat it... Pretty soon we tell her she will be really eating breakfast with us at the Sycamore. Maybe she will the the Breakfast Special like Brian... or she will stick to the Chocolate Chip Pancakes with her mommy! YUMMMM!

Big Kid High Chair

Riley and I went to dinner at GG and Grumpy's house while Ryan went down to visit his family's reunion for the big dinner. Riley usually likes to be held all through dinner... she is spoiled. She doesn't like when the food comes and the attention is off of her. But tonight we tried... and she liked it... to put her in her high chair while we ate. She looks so tiny in it! But we will defiantly be trying this again!


Look at her stare at the food... she wants to take a big teeth-less bite!

Riley's 0-3 month Book

I made Riley's 0-3 month book. It is filled with photos and little pieces of advice that work well with each photo. The quotes are put together especially for each photo. It was fun to make this book for Riley... Not only is she going to be the most photographed baby, she is going to be the most published!

Debbie and Dave's Wedding

I usually like to be the 2nd shooter at weddings... but every once in a while I make an exception.
My father was my 2nd shooter at Debbie and Dave's Wedding. We had a blast... even though it was my 1st time away from Riley for a long period of time.

UCONN

We made it through day 1 of the last 2 weeks up at UCONN. Right now I am going back to school for my 6th year in Educational Technology (basically it is a little more then a 2nd Master for teachers). It was tough being away from my little baby!! This was a long time for us to be away... But have no fear SUPER DAD is here! Riley enjoyed the day playing with her daddy! They had lots of fun all day! They both held down the fort well... only 1 walk kinda knocked down when I came home. (Ryan was going to fix the tub but got distracted and decided to fix part of the wall by knocking part of it down... would you expect anything less?) Anyway, I guess I will just have to see how the two of them play tomorrow when I come home. 9 more days!

Ragan Family Reunion

This was a family weekend...
After the big 4th of July party we left to drive down to Cape May, New Jersey for the Ragan family reunion. WOW! All we can say is a road trip to Florida this summer is OUT! Riley defiantly traveled better in the plane then this long car trip. I think the stop and go AND the being stuck in the car seat sooo long was not her cup of tea. Our 4 hour trip back turned into 7 because of Riley and traffic... FUN TIMES a crying baby stuck in Jersey traffic! But we made it down and back and were able to enjoy Riley's 1st time meeting the Ragan side of the family!







On the way down someone called Riley a boy... Daddy couldn't have this so he went out and bought her this BIG FUN flower for her hair!!

Happy 4th of July

Riley's 1st 4th of July!
My family loves the 4th of July! This year we went back to how it used to be when I was a kid and my mom was a kid... we celebrated the 4th of July in the garage. Grammy's macaroni was served for lunch... Brady met her cousin Cota... We attempted to dig up the old time capsule in the backyard... Riley, David and Olivia all had their 1st 4th of July party!... Dinner orders were taken... TONS of desserts were made... old photos were shared... We had a great 4th of July! I hope Riley loves this family day as much as I do!

Family Time on the Islands

This weekend in 2004 we got engaged and arrested in Italy! (remember that story?)
This weekend in 2005 we were married and had our wedding at the Danbury Airport.
This weekend in 2006 we found our house! (after 2 other attempts at buying a house)
This weekend in 2007 we celebrated our anniversary by finding out that we were PREGNANT!
This weekend in 2008 we celebrated our anniversary with our baby, Island hopping.

Our new little family jumped in the little airplane and went Island hopping to celebrate our 3 year anniversary! We started by leaving around 11... which was early for Riley... right after her morning nap which is key to a good day! We had lunch and walked around Block Island with Riley. Then left to fly to the Cape to visit with Matt and Kristy, After a fun evening with the Labets we flew to Martha's Vineyard for another day of strolling around. We learned very quickly that a windy beach is not much fun with a little baby. Riley did enjoy walking around and enjoying the fresh air on the islands. It is a whole new experience traveling with a baby!

We were a little nervous at first with flying so much with Riley. But she did great! She slept most of the flying time. (even her daddy's multiple landings on the windy day!)

Flying

Lorin and Kaelyn have been in Fripp for over a month now... they have now been replaced! We have moved on in the Iapaluccio family to Nicole and Ross. Ross is interested in crossing learning to fly off his bucket list. This is giving Ryan an excuse to get his instructor license. We took Nicole and Ross on a flight out for dinner... extreme dating! We found a cute little restaurant on a runway up in New York. It was great we flew in as people were playing frisbee on the grass next to the runway. Then on the way home we took a little pit stop to wait for the thunderstorms pass... then after we landed we enjoyed a little tailgating on the Danbury runway. Fun times!

We always enjoy our evening with the Cotes and Antinellis. They have become such good friends over the past year. It seems like we have been friends forever (isn't that a Saved by the Bell song?)... but it has only been a year. From the Newtown Ice Cream Shop... going our to breakfast at the Sycamore... dinner at each others houses... I am realizing that food is really what is holding our friendships together. When our bellies are happy and we are happy! Hopefully our friendships continue to grow and not our pants size!

Merry Go Round

We meet up with some of the mommies and daddies from our mommy group in Ridgefield to go to the carnival and out to dinner. Walking around the carnival and looking at all the rides that one day we can go on... Riley didn't meet the height requirement even on her tip toes. But we were able to go on the Merry Go Round!
